"The source of bliss is not outside us, but within us..." (War and Peace - Leo Tolstoy)

Bliss ... Happiness in contemplation. Taking the time to let yourself be crossed. To take the precious time of slowness in a world that only advocates speed. To take the time to taste and to breathe. To take the time to look at and observe the world around us in its smallest details. To take the time to be amazed.

The music will oscillate between absolute horizontality and touches of verticality, almost petrified immobility and perpetual movement, the sound ending up giving us a view of our inner landscape, our emotional territories, tending towards trance

For "Bliss", Régis Huby modifies the traditional form of the string quartet, which abandons the 2nd violin to welcome the double bass of Claude Tchamitchian, associated with the cello of Clément Petit and the viola of Séverine Morfin. The writing for the strings is then tightened in the low register in search of the grain and the pigment. It is associated with the sensuality of Samuel Blaser's trombone, with an expressiveness and a richness of timbres without limits. All this is magnified by the electroacoustic universe of the percussionist and magician Michele Rabbia.
